At the Fair was painted by Camille Léopold Cabaillot-Lasalle in 1877. This painting is wonderful as a fashion reference as it shows children wearing simple outdoor clothing, something you’re unlikely to find in fashion plates from the time.
It’s also useful if you ever need a reference to authentically dress your dog or monkey in mid-bustle era finery ;)
